Two Crows for Joy

We strongly believe that America needs to recapture its manufacturing, so that our children will have jobs and grow up in a prosperous country with ample opportunities.

We are proud to support American workers. Our own brand, Adooka, is sewn with care by a small factory in Philadelphia owned and run by a mother-daughter team.

you can read more about Adooka here.

Koi fish romper

P1140001if it’s clean…..it’s the one we want to wear!!! The comfortable fit of a onesie, tailored for a spiffy look. It has a bit more of a leg than typical bodysuits and that keeps the diaper hidden. The appliqued koi fish is fun! (the fish’s mouth makes me laugh)

wearable. washable. enJOYable.

Changing The Way You Pack

Each pack contains 10 bands, 5 small and 5 large.  The small band is 9″ in circumference and the large band is 10.5″.  rollnband is constructed of 3/4″ non-roll woven elastic, which helps prevent the band from twisting in on itself.  The silicon label is color coded to help in separating clean from dirty clothes upon returning from your travels.

Do you have any summer vacation plans?  I don’t yet but when I go on my next adventure, I intend to pack with rollnbands™. That being said, this review was done by family-member-airline pilot; a perfect reviewer for travel bands if there ever was one.

rollnband™ proved to be a helpful packing aid. The two sizes provide the amount of stretchability needed. Simple to use.

Dirty clothes were re-rolled with the rollnband™ but were placed in a laundry bag so the color-coded label wasn’t utilized. (yellow side, clean; gray side, dirty) I think the two-sided label could be used for identifying something else. Maybe like marking outfits for a specific day? (yellow for day 1; gray for day 2) But what about days 3, 4, and so on? Oh well.

Overall, they are a terrific made in the USA product. I would like them better without the labels and I would suggest a 12″ size.

Shop Earth Creations for organic cotton, hemp, and bamboo fashions for the entire family. Super stylish. Earth kind. In addition to using sustainable fibers, they also dye the clothes with natural clay avoiding the use of chemicals from synthetic  dyes. Their story:

earth creations evolved from an ordinary bike ride. One day after a storm, Joy took her mountain bike out for some off-roading and ended up covered with Alabama red dirt. Despite many tumbles through the washing machine, the shirt, socks, and shoes remained stubbornly stained by that mud! When Joy and Martin met years later, Martin was intrigued by the strength of that red clay. Where most people saw ruined clothes, Martin saw potential. Armed with his background in chemistry, concern for the environment, and a natural curiosity, Martin began experimenting with the clay as a dye for T-shirts.

That was almost 17 years ago. Our garments are still colored with natural clay dyes using the process Martin originally developed. From the first “Alabama Dirt Shirt” tinted with that infamous red clay, earth creations has grown into a full line of organic T-shirts dyed in a rainbow of colors for men, women, and children. We also have a complete casual wear line for women made from sustainable fibers.
This season I’m wearing the stylish Kimmy Poncho. Perfect as a cover-up, it can also be worn just as a top. I wear my Kimmy Poncho as a layering piece since I like to be snugly warm during the chilly months. It’s flowing design isn’t bulky or heavy; the mock turtle neck is also relaxed. This is a made in the USA item that is completely machine washable. It’s made from an incredible soft blend of hemp and organic cotton jersey with clay-dyed shades of earth. Available in black, celery, grape, mosaic blue, mud, pumpkin, and slate. This poncho comes in size S/M or L/XL, so determining size is easy. The Kimmy Poncho is a versatile piece that looks great either dressed up or styled down. What a great gift idea!
