This review is for all those horse owners out there. Handcrafted in the USA and veterinarian approved, this mask is designed to protect eyes and skin from flies and sun while in the pasture.

Straight from the horses’ mouth, here’s the mare’s review:

The fiberglass mesh is resistant to tearing, the fastenings are placed so that it is very difficult for me to remove, and the forehead patch is like a visor and protects again the sun. It is good at keeping me fly-free on those hot, humid days. I like that the eye darts keep the mask well away from my eyes but I would prefer rounded corners near my muzzle.

Prestige masks are available in four colors and the website has a simple to use measuring chart. A Prestige mask costs more than other masks and the website’s FAQ’s addresses that reason:

Why are the Prestige Horse Fly Masks more expensive then other masks on the market?
We are often asked the question. The primary characteristic of the masks is its durability. The masks have been known to last years. Additionally, the mask is designed as such that it will prevent unnecessary bruising and injuries caused by the horse’s natural need to scratch. Although it doesn’t prevent the horse from scratching, the adjust-ability of the mask and the attention to detail from the mask being handcrafted provides greater comfort and therefore limits the need for the horse to want to have the mask removed. Overall, when purchasing a Prestige Horse Fly Mask, you are buying protection that will last.

Notes From Dawn received a horse fly mask from Prestige Masks in exchange for an honest review. A positive review is not guaranteed, and all opinions are my own. No other compensation was received.
