R.E.A.L. Homeschool Spanish is a curriculum designed for home schoolers. It its a conversational Spanish course that requires interaction. Parent and student learn together so no prior knowledge of Spanish is necessary. It encourages conversations and is not structured primarily with desk work.

R.E.A.L. Homeschool Spanish is available as a download or hardcopy. The download version that I received for this review included the Spanish Book, Spanish Activity Book, Spanish Answer Key, Spanish Audio Files, and the Spanish Daily Curriculum Guide.

The activity book includes fun reinforcement activities and the daily curriculum guide helps your progression through the book. I printed only the pages of the lessons and the activities that I needed. Usually I am more of a hardcopy user but there is a price difference to consider. The download bundle is $59.99 and the hardcopy version is $99.95.

This course has 10 units equaling 48 weeks. You can control the pace, making it a 1 year study, 2 year study, or more. Each unit has a general theme (greetings, food, sports, ect.) with the focus on a specific group of vocabulary words. Each unit consists of 4 to 7 lessons that includes vocabulary, grammar “tidbits”, activity book pages, audio, and culture. It can be used for all ages, adapting where needed to fit your students.

This program is not as much of an independent study as some programs, such as Rosetta Stone. I have primarily used Rosetta Stone in our home school but would recommend R.E.A.L. Homeschool Spanish as another choice for learning Spanish.
