Eco-friendly fitness clothing made of organic bamboo for a healthy body & a healthy earth!

The Green Apple Difference – Why Choose Bamboo

These yoga styles are all made from 60% Bamboo, 26% Organic Cotton, 14% Black Spandex. They are super soft, comfortable and earth friendly.

The 33″ Yoga Essential Fitted Flare Pant,

This comes in a long length and can be trimmed (without fraying) to what length you want. I cut off about 2″ and it looks good!

the 26″ Yoga Essential Legging,

I am not a “legging fit” kind of person. But on on the up side, they are very soft.

the 11″ Zoe Yoga Essential Cami Bra,

The bra wasn’t able to be adjusted and felt heavy.

and the Old School Sweatpants

My fave Green Apple style. “Eco fun styling, vintage chic, luxurious softness, light weight and fun to wear pant for all occasions.” They are made with a bit more bamboo (70% Bamboo, 25% Organic Cotton, 5% Black Spandex). Super stylish and comfortable; they are the best bottoms.

Organic and Natural Skin Care – Beauty By Earth

Beauty By Earth Facial Toner; Organic and Natural Witch Hazel Rose Water Astringent; Best Hydrating and Clarifying Face Spray for Daily Use; No Alcohol or Oil; Skin Cleansing for Men and Women

“Perfectly Natural. Crazy Effective. Absolute Peace Of Mind.”

Facial Toner with Rose Water

Light, fresh, clean, refreshed… Do those words describe your skin? They will once you start using facial toner with rose water! This light, bright, and refreshing spray helps clear away excess dirt, oil, and dead skin that may be on your face after washing. It also helps nourish your skin, reduce redness, swelling, and irritation, helps relieve sun and razor burn, and just feels really, really good.

What do we like best about our facial toner with rose water? Besides the fact that it helps make complexions look their best, makes pores smaller, balances skin pH, is easy to use, and smells incredible, it’s made with 100% natural and organic ingredients. Everything in the bottle (and, now that we think about it, the bottle itself) is sustainably sourced and entirely cruelty free. There’s really no better way to care for your face. Once you start using our toner, you won’t want to go back!

This is a terrific toner! The above description is right on. Thank you Beauty By Earth for allowing me to review your toner with rose water (& with aloe vera, witch hazel, and cucumber) It has been added to my selective list of skin care products that I use.

Additionally, I’d like to mention that I use their Boar Hair Bristle Brush. The longer nylon bristles of this brush help with tangles and the boar bristles make hair shiny and smooth.

Products are natural and effective. Made in the US. Cruelty free. Available on their website and on Amazon.

Recover Brands

RECOVER produces 100% recycled apparel.

This is an eco friendly brand that offers casual clothing for the entire family. This shirt is made from plastic bottles (8 per shirt) and salvaged cotton scraps.

Carbon

The medium Sunset recover tee fits closer to how most of my size small tees fit. so, I’d recommend maybe going up a size from what you usually wear.

The fabric felt a bit scratchy but then so do many shirts before the first wash. After the first wash it was normal comfortable and I’ve worn and washed (in cold/warm) this shirt multiple times and the fit has remained. Visit their website for a look at all the sustainable outdoor apparel available from this Western North Carolina company.

Another option in Eco yoga props, is the Bhoga Infinity Block. But really it’s not so much of a block with its ergonomic curved design.

Bhoga Infinity Blocks

I like that it is versatile. And Earth friendly.

In practice, I’ve used the Infinity Block in an extended side angle and my hand is comfortably supported on the curved top of the block. Made of rubber tree wood, this block looks and feels wonderful. It is sturdy and weighs approximately 2.5-3lb. I think it is kind of bulky for traveling with but for home use it is just fine.

The bottom & one end is flat so it can be used as a “high” or “low” help.

It also has an open middle and can be used for stretches with hands or a strap

Eco-Gecko Logo

The Eco-friendly alternative to atrocious plastic utensils.

I’ve had the pleasure of using their wooden cutlery in our away-from-home lunches. What a treat! They are made of sustainable harvested birch wood and they are 100% natural with no coatings, waxes, or chemicals. They are very smooth and sturdy with no splintering or roughness.

I love that they are biodegradable, renewable, and sustainable. Definitely  more stylish than plastic. So, besides using them for casual outings, they would be a refined choice for a wedding reception, holiday party, or any other get-together when you need a disposable and want an up-scale look. Good for kids play kitchens, too.

Eco-Gecko’s wooden cutlery won’t leave footprints; just a lasting impression.

Earlywood

“a selection of heirloom-quality wooden kitchen utensils that are both highly-functional and beautiful.” I found it super easy to love Earlywood Designs. Functional. Beautiful. AND Sustainable.

At Earlywood, we know it is important to start at the beginning when determining the sustainability of any product. In most modern kitchens you will find an assortment of metal, rubber, plastic and silicone utensils.  Before those items showed up in your kitchen, the metal was mined, processed and melted, the rubber was polymerized and vulcanized, the plastic was processed from petroleum that was drilled, transported, refined, combined, and pelletized, and the silicone was synthesized.  Before your Earlywood utensils showed up in your kitchen, they were busy sequestering carbon, creating oxygen, reducing erosion, creating shade, housing birds and other animals, filtering water, cleaning air, reducing flooding, and generally looking good.

So your wooden utensils are off to a pretty good start, but at Earlywood, we don’t settle for pretty good. We know how valuable of a component trees are to our world.  That is why for every 1 tree that Earlywood uses to make products, we plant 100 to replace it.  We call it “100 to 1”. It is how we make sure that the forests that grow the woods we use end up healthier because of us.  Some of the trees we use grow in the tropical climates of Central and South America.  That is why we have chosen to plant our trees in the endangered Atlantic Rainforest of Brazil.  Visit http://www.plantabillion.org/ to learn more about the forest and the impressive efforts that are being made to save this vital piece of Brazil.

The Coffee Scoop

It holds 3 tablespoons. I use it as it’s named, for coffee beans, but it can be just as handy for other measurable pantry items, too. Leave it on the counter; no reason to put something this pretty away. This scoop made from hard maple.

The Trifecta
A flat saute, a scraper, and a spreader make up this group of all-you-need utensils. My son’s favorite is the scraper because of how it feels (weight and size). Choose your wood type. I appreciate the beauty of each one – jatoba, ebony, and maple.

Xob Website

Icebox Knitting, maker of Dohm and Xob, is the picture of sustainability.
Made in Longmont, Colorado, USA, we have made Dohm wool hats on antique hand powered knitting machines since 1994. Our hats and accessories are made from world class yarns produced under the strictest environmental standards.
To further our commitment to the environment, we created Xob (say zob) an upcycled collection in 2006 . Pieces and parts of recycled wool blend sweaters and suit jackets are used to create fun and fresh designs you can wear.
We send production remnants to be used in another life cycle. Wool scraps are re-purposed into wool wiping cloths and trimming from fleece are used a filling for dog beds in an animal shelter. Sourcing previously loved sweaters, purchasing mill-end fabrics, and sending production remnants to be used in another life cycle, Icebox Knitting has diverted over sixty thousand pounds of waste from landfills.

How cool -& green- is Icebox Knitting!

This Xob review is of the Soft Visor Hat and the Pocket Scarf. (check out their website for many more styles) The upcycled materials used for Xob hats and accessories are sorted in four different color families; black/grey, blue/green, brown/tan, or brights.  When you select an Xob style and color group, your new upcycled item will be an original.

It will be unconventional. Green. And made in the USA.

Both the soft visor and the pocket scarf (blue/green) are made of 100% upcycled wool/wool blend sweaters. (Be advised if you are wool sensitive)  I find them a little itchy but I like the warmth. I always have cold hands, so the scarf is perfect for slipping my hands into. Hint to Xob – I’d love to have a scarf style available in a lightweight summer fabric!!

Good For the Planet – Hats and Accessories – Made in the USA
