For those of you who regularly follow my blog, you know that I have featured several water bottle companies in the past highlighting the Eco benefits of using a reusable bottle.

This next water bottle offers benefits to the planet and to personal health. The Citrus Zinger, designed by Zing Anything, is a water bottle that infuses water with naturally sweet citrus. It’s healthy and a great incentive to drink more water.

My review:

I have had many inquires about my Citrus Zinger whenever I use it. People love the idea and want one!

The zinganything website is full of information about their products including recipes. The website recommends that an infusion shelf life be 12 hours without refrigeration or 3 days refrigerated. I use my zing creation much sooner, usually within a few hours. Too tasty not to drink, I guess. (I don’t like to see mushy looking fruit. Also, lemons can make the water bitter after too long) Something I should note is that I’ve experienced a slight leak a times from the bottom cap, carafe section. I’ve taken care to seal the lid carefully but sometimes still experience a small leak.

Drinks are super easy to make; easy enough for kids. Clearly a better drink alternative to sugary juices, soda, and sweet tea. My favorite zing creations are lemon with strawberry and also orange with blackberry. One way I do the orange blackberry version is with ice cubes that have a blackberry frozen inside – just for fun.

My Oh Happy Day graphic Ergo Polar Bottle is pretty looking and works pretty neat, too. The Ergo, insulated for hot or cold, keeps my cold drinks cold without any condensation and my hot drinks hot while my hands aren’t. It’s ergonomic shape makes it comfortable to hold and the contoured mouthpiece is smooth and leak-free. Line up the drops on the Half-Twist Cap to enjoy a beverage. Half-Twist Cap info. and video.

It’s made in the USA; it is BPA free, phthalate free, and ultimately recyclable. The Ergo is impressive in design, durability, insulation, and value.

Last month I posted a review for the bobble water bottle and one of the things I mentioned was that I couldn’t add ice cubes because of the bobble’s small mouth. Situation solved. Bobble now offers bobble ice, an ice tray that makes ice in a small bobble shape.

more information

bobble water is always healthy and free – now make it cold and refreshing too. each bobble ice tray makes 14 bobble-shaped frozen ice inserts, perfectly sized to fit into any bobble – 13oz./385ml, 18.5oz./500ml, 24oz./700ml and 34 oz./1L.

bobble ice will bring a shiver to your filtered water even on the hottest days. removing ice is easy – just push up under the flexible, soft forms and the ice pops out. the colorful, food grade, BPA-free plastic tray is dishwasher safe and features a built-in reservoir to help prevent spills. stackable for freezing, too! buy a couple and you’ll always be ready to chill.

Here’s what I think:

It’s great. My bobble ice is the pretty magenta and blue color. In addition to using the ice in my bobble water bottle, I use the bobble shaped pieces in everyday cups. They are easy to release with a push from underneath. Surprisingly, I once removed my bobble ice in an incredible flip that took the ice straight from the tray to the cup. It is possible!  (Children should get parents permission first before trying this) The ice is small so it does start melting faster than traditional sized ice cubes. I recommend filling the tray slowly with water as the little shapes fill up fast.

My Review:

I score the Polar Bottle high on design, durability, insulation, and value.

I like all three sizes of the Polar Bottle but more times than not I’ll grab the 20 oz. size. While the Polar Bottle can be used for sport drinks too, I primarily use mine for water. “Cold Tastes Better” and the Polar Bottle doesn’t disappoint by keeping my water cool for a long time. I either add ice cubes to the water or I fill it half full, freeze, and add more water before I take it. The bottle’s shape offers a comfortable grip and is squeezable. The sport cap is handy for quick drinks and I like that it has a removable valve system for cleaning. The rim is rough so it’s not suitable to drink directly from the bottle.

Polar Bears and Eco-friendly products, what’s not to love!

The bottles are offered in different Series so there are lots of ways to express your individual style. My favorite is from the Big Bear Series.

This weekend I spotted a cyclist using the Polar Bottle. He gave his bottle a good review saying that his water stays cool. Although there is only one bottle on his bike, he told me that he usually takes two Polar Bottles with him.

This is a positive review for bobble, a reusable water bottle with a built in carbon filter, for helping reduce the mass consumption of single serve water bottles.  I found that it saves money, reduces waste, and is a user friendly way to drink refreshing tasting water.

My medium size (8.5 oz.) bobble with a green filter.

Here are some of the things I’d like to mention after using my bobble for a few months. The good being that it contains its own filter which is attached to the sport cap. It is recyclable and made from recycled plastic. It is made in the USA and is free of BPA, phthalates, and PVC. The bobble comes with its first filter and replacements are available. One bobble filter equal about 300 water bottles. The filters come in a variety of single colors and multi-colors !

I have nothing bad to say about it but there are some things that I could mention after using it. First, the sports cap makes a bit of a noise when drinking. It comes with a clear cap protector that I’d consider an easy to loose item. The mouth of the bottle is small so you can’t add ice cubes. And, water is the only thing you can use in the bobble due to the carbon filter. (no ice tea, no juice, etc.)

The bobble design is good for situations that require the need to filter water. If good clean drinking water is usually available to you, then the bobble’s filter design wouldn’t be necessary and a regular reusable water bottle would be fine.

The medium bobble is 9.99 and all filter sizes are 6.99. Free shipping is available on every order over $20.

My recommendations for future bobble designs would be to make the cap a twist open style and the bottle to be stainless steel to be more durable.

As you already know, I’m 100% convinced of the need to use reusable water bottles. I’d love to get you feeling the same way.

Have you seen a MiiR bottle? My MiiR is the classic 600ml/20 oz. in blue. It comes with a black wedge lid. Custom MiiR bottles are also available where you can choose your bottle color and choose your lid color and style (wedge or wingnut).

I love this:

MiiR makes it easy to be eco-savvy. And it turns out that what’s good for the planet is often good for your health. Mother Earth is trying to tell us something. And MiiR is all ears. Lids are made of BPA-free polypropylene #5 plastic. And every bottle is 100% recyclable. You see? Choosing MiiR is a win-win of ecological proportions.

And this:

One dollar of each MiiR bottle you purchase provides one person with clean water for one year. The full $1 donation, all 100 pennies, will go directly to those in need. Clean water transforms lives, communities and generations — and at a surprisingly low cost. Just $20 can provide clean water for one person for 20 years.

MiiR offers everyday free shipping on orders over $40. Pretty terrific. Visit their site and pick your MiiR bottle!

FYI: The name, MiiR, I was told ” was inspired by John Muir, the Scottish-born American naturalist, author, and early advocate of preservation of wilderness in the United States. Also, the Russian word Mir means Peace or World. Both of these influences combined with our own unique branding and design is how MiiR came to be.”
