South Beac Tent

Please watch the setup video available to view from the Lovin’ Summer website’s main page.

Unlike any other beach shade products on the market today, we designed our Lovin’ Summer beach tents to put an end to uncomfortable shade protection, without the complicated knots and instructions like the majority of freestanding or “pop-up” beach tents available today.

Driven by our passion for the beach, our beach shade products have combined coastal style with practical design to create a simple innovative product that looks great, offers maximum light, airflow and UV protection.

Kaela Designs

Look good this summer with a Kaela Designs bag.

sketch 01

Choose from five different styles and select from a variety of spectacular prints with a choice of a fabric or ring handle. Custom design services are offered too.

My bag is the Kaela Kick with an acrylic ring handle. It’s a whopping 18″  of beautiful fabric! Designed as a beach tote, it works inland, too; a fun bag that’s the spotlight of both casual or sophisticated.

The quality of the fabric and the workmanship is great. No zippers or buttons for an easy open bag that offers lots and lots of roomy space. The Ann print has colors of white, gray, Caribbean green, and spring greens. It reminds me of water lilies and a Monet painting. The interior fabric is a coordinating print; inside are two small interior pockets. 100% cotton.  Reversible.  Washable.

Kaela Designs is a mother-daughter company that hand-makes all their beautiful totes and hobo bags in their San Diego studio. Speaking of mothers, do you want to give yours a Kick?  I just had to ask. (Remember, May 12th is Mother’s Day)

The noblo was designed for beach umbrella safety. Use this simple product to keep your beach umbrella from blowing away.

Knowing how to properly install a beach umbrella on the beach is the first part of beach safety and the noblo website shares a terrific link on how to properly install a beach umbrella.  When you use the noblo to keep your umbrella anchored, you’re all set for a fun and safe day at the beach.

What a great working idea. This “umbrella buddy” folds small to easily fit into a beach bag. For those of you who don’t have little kiddos with beach toys, remember to take a small beach shovel to fill the bag with sand.

I prefer a beach shelter when I’m on the beach and although the noblo was designed for umbrellas, I tried it with the shelter and loved it. It was a huge help especially during set-up. I used it like a sandbag since I didn’t need the velcro strap. It was just the thing to prevent the gusty breezes from ripping the shelter stakes right out of the sand.

This summer “leave sand at the beach” with this amazing, powder-filled terry cloth mitt.

P1060989

How It Works

Sand-Off has a patented, magic powder formulation embedded in the mitt. The all-natural powder lubricates the skin making the sand just fall off. Sand is a high-friction substance that tenaciously clings to anything. A towel will just move the sand along the skin. Our powder breaks that bond between sand and skin. We’ve heard people call it magic. We just call it a relief that the sand will not follow us to the car, hotel or home.

How to use it

Simply clap the mitt to release the powder and rub the soft terry cloth over the skin to easily wipe away the sand. It dispenses the powder formula evenly and gets excellent body coverage. The kids can be cleaned with less fuss and less hassle in no time at all. Some even prefer to clean themselves with it! Guaranteed to work!

Product Benefits:

· All natural, talcum-free
· Kids love it
· Unscented
· Easy and convenient
· Good for up to 40 uses a.k.a. one amazing summer at the beach
· Less hassle and mess
· Works even with suntan lotion and perspiration

My review: It works! And it’s natural and gentle for your skin.

This mitt is so much better than using a water bottle, a towel, or a small brush. While that gets some of the sand off, it is rough on the skin. I didn’t see the ingredients anywhere on the website, but they are listed on the box. (corn starch and baking soda) I keep my Sand-off mitt in a small reusable bag and toss it in my beach bag. (or keep it in the car) Re-purpose the mitt when the powder is used up.

Here’s my July book pick from Storey Publishing

thumbnail image

Have you been to the beach this Summer or planning an ocean trip soon? Storey Publishing has a fun – and educational  – workbook called Sea Life Games & Puzzles. It will keep kids of all ages entertained while taking a real or imaginary trip to the beach!

Sea Life Games & Puzzles

101 Brainteasers, Word Games, Jokes & Riddles, Picture Puzzles, Matches, and Logic Tests for Ocean-loving Kids

Cindy A. Littlefield

Kids will have hours of fun learning more about their favorite sea creatures and ocean phenomenas as they work their way through puzzles, games, brainteasers, and jokes. Lead a clownfish through a coral maze, determine which oyster is hiding the pearl and figure out which ocean creatures are called lemons (sharks), cows (manatees), and barbers (fish). All in all, it’s a guaranteed whale of a good time — and that’s no fish story!

Sea Life Games & Puzzles is a workbook with a variety of activities, both fun and informative, for everyone. “Grab your pencils and dive in”

A dolphin is a whale? Yeah, I knew that!

My thanks to Storey Publishing for allowing me to review this book. This book was provided in exchange for an honest review. No other compensation was received.

On our recent trip to the beach, we fed the seagulls. I think Jesse, my son, had the best time. The seagulls did a great job at entertaining him.

“If you smile when no one else is around, you really mean it.” – Andy Rooney

The gulls were treated to some cookies and a muffin; after looking at the pictures, I’m reminded of the If You Give a …..series of books by Laura Numeroff.
