In writing “Manners & Tips for Caring Kids” Ramona Wood created the book she needed as a child—and searched for as a parent. Now she brushes up on her manners alongside her grandchildren as she reads this book with them.

It’s not just about manners. It’s the meaning behind the manners!

It’s about thinking…instead of just acting

This book offers a quick introduction to the Fruit of the Spirit. The 32 pages provide practical ways for kids to improve their manners and includes various other bible verses that build upon a particular attribute. Easy to read and understand text. The pages are colorful and not overly “fruity”. Author Ramona Wood created simple illustrations that add in visual understanding and interest. A nicely done book!

This book is a 2019 bronze medal Illumination winner in the education category. Illumination book awards are designed to honor and bring increased recognition to the year’s best new titles written and published with a Christian worldview.

Genre: Kids Music
Award-winning children’s recording artist Suzi Shelton released her fourth family album this past spring which is filled with upbeat, inspiring and powerful songs about believing in yourself as well as more whimsical songs about ladybugs and raindrops, and has proudly taken home a 2018 NAPPA Award as well as a 2018 Parents’ Choice Foundation Recommended Award!

Hand in Hand

I highly recommend Suzi Shelton’s music. She is a terrific singer & songwriter.
I am extremely selective on what I listen to, and this is a treasured find. Her music is fun for kids without being kiddy.  The lyrics are easy-to-understand; listeners can catch every word making so that each song is singable. There’s a variety of instruments and the overall effect is positive and happy♬

A little about our beginning

Crisp air, fresh sea breeze, and delicious Mediterranean food were the first stop on my journey. We grew up with simple, durable, handmade clothes that were easy to slip into. I’m forever grateful for my childhood on the sea and want to provide the same for my kids.

henley - natural

Henley & Joggers

100% organic cotton

joggers - greece blue

Both the top and bottom are a size 4 which is the largest size available. Hopefully, Malu Organic will continue expanding their line and offer more sizes. Greece blue is a lovely shade. While a henley shirt and jogger sweat pants are both typical styles, the quality of fabric and the workmanship is first-rate. Love soft clothes.

The Low-Pressure Guide to Parenting Your Preschooler is brilliantly written to liberate parents from the expectations of having to be super-parents. It relieves the pressure to follow long lists of rules, to be perfect, and to be enslaved by the idea that, “If you don’t do this, your kids will turn out terribly.” This book shows parents that it’s really not their job to make sure their child turns out “right.” Instead, the author encourages parents to learn the much simpler and more rewarding role God has for them

paperback, 224 pages, Focus on the Family

Available October 1, 2016

The four principles in this book are excellent and just what I needed to read. As a parent -starting again/retirement on hold for some time -I found this book very helpful and would recommend it for reducing stress and making parenting much simpler and more rewarding. Would have loved to have read this years ago.

Tyndale House Publishers provided an advanced reader copy of The Low-Pressure Guide To Parenting Your Preschooler in return for this review. All opinions are entirely my own. No other compensation was received.

Perfect for the garden, and also fun at the beach, the Green Toys™ Watering Can is a classic set that encourages kids to help take care of the world around them. Made in the USA from 100% recycled plastic milk jugs, the Watering Can features an easy-to-pour spout and cotton rope carrying handle, making it frustration-free for little gardeners. The set, which includes a rake and shovel, is great for spending time together outside, and kids will love helping and playing alongside the grownups to watch their garden grow. And…it’s even fun in the tub!

My Review:

This toy is made from recycled milk containers. SAFE being BPA, PVC and Phthalates Free.

Comes securely packaged in an all cardboard box with No unnecessary plastic waste.(love this!)

NO batteries needed. Recommended for ages 18 months +, my 2 year old reviewer enjoyed this watering can, rake, and shovel. Sturdy plastic that’s surprisingly lightweight. No sharp edges. I like the look of the rope handle. It works fine; as you can tell from the pic,  it is only meant to hold a small amount of water. (kinda wish we could get a little more watering from it)

I recommend shopping Green Toys for safe, fun, and educational toys.

Competition can bring out the worst in us, but it can also be an opportunity to learn impactful life lessons. That’s why it’s so important for kids to understand how to handle winning and losing!

Join Lulu and Max as they help Bear-Bear, Goosey, Coyote and the rest of their animal friends in the Field Day contests determine who will be the leader of Lulu’s forest.

It was a win for me. This 32 page hardcover book had an interesting story (recommended for ages 4-8) paired with lovely illustrations. Good sportsmanship, friendship, kindness, and forgiveness are the topics for this story of a girl named Lulu, and boy named Max, and some forest animals. I enjoyed the characters, story, and illustrations (illustrations are full of expressions that really made the story). Christian theme; ten bible verses at the end of the story (for ALL ages).
